FOR HEMMA

This project was born with the intention of being an emotional journey to show dance from a place in which the emotional charge had a leading role. This was a door so that our interpreters were not a tool but a vehicle.

Our goal was to give a twist to how we are used to seeing group choreographies, moving away from the 'director', 'choreographer' and 'dancers' division and making this an artists' project.

To explain this project we liked to use Pina Bausch's phrase "We are not interested in how they move, but in what moves them." Although all of them come from the professional field, through this work we want to explore where the impulses that lead them to expression through movement come from. This meant that during rehearsals and filming, emotion was part of an honest place.
